Visiting Investigator Status

If you are visiting Carnegie from another institution to do research in our labs and will not be receiving any salary or benefits through Carnegie you are considered a Visiting Investigator or Visiting Researcher. A small amount of paperwork is required before you may begin your research at Carnegie.

Everyone at our Departments (Plant Biology and Global Ecology) is required to complete the on-line Stanford Health & Safety Training. Please follow the instructions found on the following page:

Additionally, please complete the following paperwork:
ØVisiting Investigator Information Form Please complete as fully as possible, please provide a copy of your passport, visa, I-94 card and health coverage when you bring your form to Kathi Bump.
ØLetter to Director This is your acknowledgement that you are visiting Carnegie in an unpaid capacity and no benefits will be provided by or through Carnegie. Please read carefully and sign.
ØEmergency Contacts – These forms are necessary in the event of an emergency so we have knowledge of your health insurance coverage and emergency contacts
ØInvention Disclosure Agreement
ØAccessibility of Data Agreement – Both are required for all scientific and technical staff
